Moja Love is a South African general entertainment channel produced by Siyaya Media Network for DStv that was launched in 2018. In the past few years, the channel had received a lot of criticism because majority of their reality shows demonstrate a lot of violence and dysfunction in the black community. These are shows like Isencane Lengane, Rea Tsotella, Teenage pregnancy etc.

Conscious non-consent is a practice in which medical professionals acknowledge that a patient has refused a particular treatment or procedure in the past but proceed to administer said treatment or procedure anyway because it is necessary to preserve the patient’s life (e.g. blood transfusions, resuscitation).

In 2017, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie said that the experiences of transgender women, who are born with the societal privileges accorded to men, are different from those of cisgender women, and by extension suggested that trans women are not real women. She has since sustained and defended those views, stating, "I have nothing to apologise for."

In September 2024, the KZN Head Coaches and 16 others resigned, citing alleged racism by board members, discrimination against speakers from low-income backgrounds—including capping the number of public school students selected—and the board’s refusal to discipline coaches who behaved inappropriately around school children. This mass resignation prompted a nationwide search for new coaches.
